Embracing the Mood: A Sultry Couples Session with Alma and Spencer

A sultry couples session often calls for a dramatic setting and a touch of sophistication, and our recent shoot with Alma and Spencer was the perfect embodiment of that vision. Dressed in elegant, moody black outfits, the couple was ready to create stunning, editorial-style images.

The journey to this captivating session wasn’t without its challenges, though. I spent several days scrolling through the internet, searching for inspiration and trying to pin down the exact vision I had in mind. It wasn’t until an Amazon shopping spree that I finally found the perfect elements to bring my vision to life. Luckily I am an avid user and was able to Prime it to Alma + Spencers house… three days before the shoot. I couldn’t choose just one skirt, either. So I sent her three to choose from. 😂

Our adventure began with an unexpected twist: upon arriving at the location, we lost service and spent 45 minutes trying to reconnect. Despite this initial hiccup, once we managed to find each other and get started, the evening unfolded beautifully. Alma and Spencer were incredibly sweet and easy to talk to, which made the entire session feel relaxed and effortless.

Their choice of attire and the stunning backdrops that Mount Rainier has to offer, added a layer of mystique and elegance to the photos, aligning perfectly with the sultry, stoic vibe we aimed to capture. Shooting until the last light of day, we captured moments that were both timeless and evocative, leaving us with a collection of photos that beautifully reflect the essence of Alma and Spencer’s love story.
